We go on kayak trips every summer and I’ve always worried about my phone being out when taking pictures. The tether fits my phone perfectly and will give me peace of mind when out on the water! Seems to be high quality material and feels much more substantial than I thought it would! I’ve tested it out a few time on walks and it holds my phone very securely. Would definitely recommend!

While I do not enjoy more traditional types of adventure, I have lately been using my smartphone as a general-purpose camera. There is always a fear of dropping it out of a car window or really anywhere, especially in the cold weather when holding things with or without gloves can be a problem. By attaching the harness to my phone at one end and a wrist-style lanyard at the other, I can use my phone without fear of ever dropping it.

I’ve kept my eye out for a good way to keep my phone attached and the Koala 2.0 phone harness is a winner. The harness is made of heavy-duty silicone that stretches to grip your phone at four corners. I’ve got an orange one, so I can find it easily if need be. The tether is part of the harness and is 14″ from clip to case and stretches to my arm’s length making it easier to shoot pictures while I’m fishing. It comes with two attachment options, a clip that closes with a cam mechanism rather than a spring and a small carabiner. Both are made of polycarbonate plastic. The clip has a burly grip (rated to 50 lbs.) making it easy to attach in various places, not just loops like with the biner. I’m adding this to my fishing and guiding kit this year. Juggling my phone in the field just got a lot less stressful.

This is perfect for skiing. No risk of losing your phone while trying to document your amazing trip.

We got these for our ski trip and the biggest danger is losing it on the chairlift when hands are frozen…. the fall itself would destroy a phone… but it’s the best time to use the phone when you are waiting on the chairlift to get you up the mountain… felt completely safe with the KOALA on our phone and cord attached to our belt loops (or zipper). In another occasion, the phone just came out of our pocket while skiing yet the KOALA kept it attached w/o hitting the ground. ALL features of the phone can still be used including the camera and mic!

Does exactly what it NEEDS to do - secures my phone for the snowshoeing and backcountry adventures. Did not cover any buttons or functions and was secure on my iPhone 11 Pro with Lifeproof case. Liked the clip and carabiner mount. I do wish it was just a few inches longer - as a taller/longer wingspan person I have had difficulty finding a mount point that allows me to do a selfie, use the phone, and reaches pockets comfortably. But if it prevents me losing my phone in 3 feet of snow - which is what happened two weeks before I had a Koala 2.0 - I am sure the world will be a better place with a few less of my selfies. Recommend.

Greatest device I've found for keeping my phone handy and safe while skiing. I'm a trail designer/builder and will use this during time out on the trails too.

I am a big fan of the Koala V1 especially because I depend on it EVERY SINGLE DAY. My phone has been kept safe and is almost as new because of it. I ride a bike and commute on the train and in both instances, my phone is within reach and unlikely to get lost or fall out of hand. I honestly only used the Warranty only once because this is such a good product for the money and do not want to run the company out of business. However I will say that I tend to buy in small bulk quantities both for myself and to gift when I purchase. While I generally recommend this product in my use case scenario, I have found that the rubber tends to tear at the corners after 6 months of continuous daily use. I also have a Galaxy Note 10+, which may contribute to the tearing. I also tend to use the Koala attached to my wrist, which I find to be the best attachment point when not in my pocket. Sadly, with V2, I do not believe I can use the Koala in the exact same way. Aesthetically the V1 coil like attachment resembles a key chain holder wrist strap. For this reason I would prefer the V1 attachment be used instead. Is the V1 still available to purchase?

So far, my KOALA has been through some great runs in Park City, Utah, and hiking and climbing in Salt Lake City. I dropped my phone out of my pocket with the KOALA attached to it, and a gentleman behind me said “Oh, I wouldn’t trust that thing.” I responded “Well, I do. And so far, it hasn’t proven me wrong!”

I have used the Koala twice while bicycling, since receiving it last month. I have a Galaxy Note 20, it works great with it! So happy with my purchase, I will use it a lot!

Not scared of dropping my phone off the lift. I like that it comes with the clip and the spring clip…quality materials compared to others I have seen.

Heading to Whistler for a ski trip and bought a few to give to the members of the group that didn't already have them. I've been using one I received as a present a couple years ago and wouldn't want to be without one now.

Always scared to touch my phone when I’m skiing. Got this just in time for my Utah trip and am super impressed how well it holds my phone and that I have no issues even on the lift! (Did I mention im a bit of a clutz!?) anyway highly recommend - using on my iPhone 12
