I learned the hard way that hiking with a phone comes with a risk of becoming lost or damaged, even though I was careful. And I found that it wraps around the Otterbox case very nicely so the two are complimentary on hikes.

However, when I was with friends at an outdoor rooftop restaurant, there were lots of tourists and locals taking sunset photos near the railing and it occurred to me that it would be prudent to have the Koala for everyday use too. One slip and the phone would be over the edge and gone. So, I will include use it more for routine out and about errands.
