The KOALA Clip holds exceptionally well without scratching most materials. It was developed for use with materials such as Cordura®, denim, Gore-Tex®, fleece, cotton, etc., and generally leaves no marks.

We tested it on our own equipment, including backpacks, softshell jackets, medium-weight wool jackets, life jackets and much more – no problems occurred.

Absolutely not! KOALA is completely latex-free. We guarantee safety and comfort, especially if you have a latex allergy or sensitivity. Your well-being is important to us, and we want everyone to feel comfortable – that’s why we developed KOALA 2.0 without latex. Your peace of mind is our top priority!

KOALA 2.0 is made of super-elastic silicone. After testing many cases (including waterproof cases, Defender models, and even those with integrated accessories) on various smartphones, we have yet to encounter a case that KOALA wouldn't fit.

To clean KOALA, simply rinse it with warm water. If KOALA is heavily soiled, be careful not to damage the loop with stones or other debris while washing. For an extra eco-friendly option, you can even take KOALA into the shower with you to save water! Tip: Don’t forget to remove your smartphone from KOALA before cleaning.

Using the KOALA Clip is super easy! Just follow these steps: Pull the clip’s handle upwards to open it. Once the clip is open, attach it to the desired location, such as a jacket seam or backpack strap. Push the clip’s handle downwards to close and lock it. That’s it! Your KOALA is now securely attached and ready to protect your smartphone on your adventures. Check out our tutorial video too!

Slide one corner of the KOALA loop onto the corresponding corner of your smartphone to attach it. Make sure the cord is at the bottom of your phone. Then, stretch the next corner of the loop and repeat this process on the remaining three corners of your smartphone until the KOALA is secure and snug – as shown in the image below.

Once your smartphone is securely fastened, use the carabiner or clip to attach the loop to yourself or another secure location. A jacket seam, a backpack flap, or the hem of a bag are ideal spots if you're using the clip.

Extremely grippy! KOALA is made of matte silicone, ensuring a secure hold on your smartphone. In unexpected situations on the go, KOALA stays put reliably as long as at least three of the four loops remain attached to the corners of your device. If one corner isn’t properly positioned, it’s always a good idea to gently stretch KOALA to ensure your smartphone is securely held in place at all four contact points.

Thousands of KOALAs are currently out and about with climbers, skiers, mothers, magicians, city dwellers, photographers, hikers, athletes, and other explorers. KOALA has undergone rigorous market testing for over two years. We take customer reviews and feedback very seriously, which is why we introduced KOALA 2.0, incorporating features our users requested! In the lab, KOALA was subjected to various tests, including long-term stretching, resistance to extreme temperatures (both heat and cold), and tensile tests to assess the durability of its components. The loop broke at a force of 18 kilograms, and the clasp opened at a force of 23 kilograms—slightly more than the weight of most modern smartphones. We are pleased to report that neither a mobile phone nor a koala was harmed during these tests.

KOALA 2.0 consists of 3 main components: The loop itself is made of durable silicone. The clip is made of polycarbonate, and the carabiner is made of aluminum and stainless steel.

Some spots offer better grip than others. The best positions we’ve identified are:

The seam edge, for example, on the pocket of a pair of jeans.

The zipper edge, for example, on the pocket of a ski jacket.

Nylon straps, for example, on a backpack.

The use of plastics in KOALA’s design was a key consideration before the product’s launch. Our research has shown that a product designed to last a lifetime, while also preventing electronic devices from being discarded due to damage, helps offset our environmental impact.

KOALA reduces the number of damaged and subsequently discarded smartphones. It also reduces the number of lost smartphones, which directly and negatively impacts the environment. KOALA loops are currently shipped in eco-friendly packaging made from recycled materials.

KOALA 2.0 was designed for use in active sports where screen access is secondary to safety. In this case, the smartphone is primarily used for taking photos and sending text messages. In short: most of our customers don’t mind the screen being slightly obscured if they get the security that KOALA 2.0 provides.

KOALA fits the Galaxy S9 Plus well, however, one of the carrying straps can slightly interfere with the rear flash functions.

KOALA provides security for your iPhone 11 Pro, however, one of the straps may slightly obscure the edge of the third camera lens.

Yes! KOALA fits perfectly on the iPhone 11.

KOALA will fit rather loosely on the iPhone 12 Mini, but we recommend using a larger protective case. This allows you to stretch KOALA a little more and offers a slightly better grip – though not as firmly as with a full-size smartphone.

KOALA fits the iPhone 12 Pro Max well. With smaller smartphones that have multiple lenses, one of the KOALA straps might slightly obscure the camera, but this isn’t a problem with the larger Pro Max.

Yes! KOALA fits the iPhone 12 perfectly. On the Pro models, one of the straps might slightly collide with the third camera lens.

KOALA fits smaller phones like the iPhone 5, however, the use of a protective case is required.

KOALA fits the Samsung S21 well. With smaller smartphones that have multiple lenses, one of the KOALA carrying straps might slightly interfere with camera use, but this isn’t a problem with larger Samsung models.

Unfortunately, KOALA can have some issues with smartphones that have a larger camera unit on the back, for example the Note 9.

Unfortunately, KOALA obscures some lenses on smartphones whose cameras are located on a horizontal strip on the back of the device.

KOALA does not interfere with the cameras of most iPhones and Android smartphones. If minor limitations occur when using the camera, the strap can usually be adjusted to resolve the issue. However, there are a few notable exceptions: iPhone 11 Pro KOALA fits very snugly on the iPhone 11 Pro, but one of the straps covers the edge of the wide-angle lens. This is less of a problem with the iPhone 11 Pro Max due to its larger size. Depending on which lens you primarily use, this might not be an issue for you. Some users slide a corner of the strap slightly to the side while taking photos to clear the lens. Samsung S10 KOALA is not ideally suited to smartphones with this camera layout, as is the case with the Galaxy S10 or Note 9. However, adjusting the straps around the lenses or slightly shifting a corner of the strap while taking photos can resolve the issue.

First, make sure KOALA is correctly attached to your phone. Depending on the camera position on some smartphones, the strap may need to be adjusted or slightly repositioned. It’s also possible that KOALA might partially cover the phone’s side buttons—but these will still function perfectly!

The KOALA strap fits ideally over the buttons on most smartphones, ensuring full functionality and security. If the buttons are covered in a way that restricts their use, repositioning the KOALA straps often helps; a protective case can also help secure the straps.

KOALA was designed for use in challenging outdoor conditions (e.g., climbing, skiing, fishing, and similar activities) where only basic phone functions like the camera, messages, or music are typically used. However, no product can be perfectly tailored to every smartphone, so we’re happy to offer adjustment tips! Every phone is slightly different, so you can freely adjust KOALA as needed. Yes! KOALA works very well with the Pixel 3, but may slightly interfere with one of the phone’s rear flash modules.

KOALA fits the Pixel 4 well. On smaller smartphones with multiple lenses, one of the KOALA straps might slightly interfere with camera use, but this isn’t a problem with larger Pixel models.

KOALA fits the Pixel 5 well. On smaller smartphones with multiple lenses, one of the KOALA carrying straps can slightly interfere with camera use, but this is not a problem on larger Pixel models.

KOALA fits the Samsung S20 well. With smaller smartphones that have multiple lenses, one of the KOALA carrying straps might slightly interfere with camera use, but this isn’t a problem with larger Samsung models.

The KOALA securely protects your iPhone 12 Pro. However, the mount isn’t a perfect fit for this model, as one of the straps obscures the edge of the third camera lens. You can easily resolve this issue by slightly adjusting the mount when you want to use the zoom lens.

Yes. We deliver exclusively within the European Union – free shipping. Delivery time (EU) is usually 3–7 working days, depending on the destination country. Shipping is via courier services.

If you don’t love your new KOALA 2.0, return it to us within 14 days (from the date of purchase) for a full refund. Include all parts and ensure the product is clean and in good condition. Make your mom proud! The cost of returning the goods shall be borne by the Customer. The Customer is responsible for arranging and organizing the return shipment to the Seller.
