As an older, clumsy, traveler I replaced my broken camera with a single good cell phone so I only have to juggle one device on trips, but I missed my camera case with its neck strap. I am hoping that the KOALA will fit the bill for taking good care of my new cellphone in Scotland, Alaska, and England this year. So far it is off to a good start!

I've known that it would be a wise idea for me to get a tether for my phone, since I'm often taking it in and out of my pocket while in the mountains, to either capture adventurous moments and picturesque scenery or to use it for maps/route guidance. The thought had been on the back burner for a while, and I finally decided to pull the trigger on purchasing a KOALA. Before getting my KOALA, I would sometimes hesitate to take my phone out, due to weather conditions or surroundings (what is or isn't below me). As long as I'm in a safe spot to do so, I have no hesitation doing it now. Many of my adventures also take place in the winter, so it's not always a smooth process to retrieve my phone and put it back, but I have zero worries about dropping it since using my KOALA. If a trip doesn't go as planned (aka sh*t hits the fan), I have everything I need with me to survive a night in the mountains. Included in that equipment is my phone (backups for maps/navigation/coordinates, communication/emergency notification, medical info and emergency contacts for rescue personnel, etc). It's extremely reassuring for me and my family to know that this piece of equipment is now very unlikely to be separated from me or lost whilst in the mountains, which I think is the most important factor of using my KOALA.

ease of use; security

No more white knuckle death grip texting from the chairlift, praying that your freezing fingers don't fumble you phone to a certain snowy demise. Works as advertised, fits over a case, feels very secure. Only critique is that the straps can overlap the camera lens or make it harder to use the on/off and volume buttons. Still way better than losing your phone.

Well… they still haven’t delivered our order. We tried twice now. I guess we will wait until we get back home and try again. We really wanted them at our winter home…we ski at the resort and in the backcountry and think the koala will be a great asset. Oh well �‍♀️

The KOALA kept falling off of my phone while I was skiing in Telluride so I was disappointed.

I got these to keep track of my phone on the boat and for fishing in general. Really takes the worry out of the back of my head knowing my phone is securely tethered to me.

My husband’s phone would have fallen through a hole in the ice if not for the KOALA harness. He would have been begging a nice trout to retrieve it in exchange for living another day.

Not sure if I should drop a star since there is now a warning on the website about the harness getting in the way of one of the lenses if you have the iPhone Pro model. I’m going to drop the star after all. When I first got it I was impressed with the quality. My only grudge is only for my specific phone. I did the swing test (where you swing it around to see if it slips off) and it held on very nicely. If you can get past the harness being in the way of the camera then get this!! They say it needs to be adjusted. I’m going to mess around with it a little more. I really don’t wanna have to finagle it every time I want to take a picture when I am using it.

iPhone 14 pro. Comes off some cases with more smooth texture.

I gave one to a friend who has dementia so he won't lose his cell phone. He loves it and said it was the perfect gift for him.

Really useful tool and a lot of uses.

If you are in the mountains skiing, on a chairlift, etc.. and want to not miss taking a picture but fearful you will drop your phone, well the koala harness will keep your phone hooked to your inside coat pocket or wherever you decide to hook it. If you are a boater, same thing, hook your phone harness on shirt or bathing suit.

Simply put, peace of mind!

Keeps our phones safely attached while Nordic and Alpine skiing. Was happily dangling from my jacket pocket the other day with the phone attached. Looking forward to using KOALA to keep our phones safe while Mt biking.

Picked up two KOALAS (one for a friend with shaky hands) to use while skiing. No more worries about dropping the phone while using on the chairlift! Holds the phone securely and easy to put on and take off. Wasn’t sure about the stretchy rubber tether at first, but it’s actually great- better than the coiled bungee thing I used to have. This is a great little product and I’ll be using it for climbing too.

I wish I could say I love it. I bought two after seeing my friends. I think it’s a great concept just not working for me and my phone. I have the 14 pro and it doesn’t seem to stay on the corners.
