I’m a very careful person, and thought I would not need a product like the KOALA – Super-Grip Smartphone Harness. I was mistaken. I was taking a photo of the New York City skyline from my terrace on the tenth floor. One of the many New York City pigeons decided my terrace would be a good place to rest for a while. I try to discourage this kind of behavior, by acting very aggressively towards them – hoping they will realize they are not welcome. I quickly turned and hissed at them, and raised both hands in a threatening gesture. (Don’t worry, I would never hurt any animal – it was just an act.) I wasn’t holding my iPhone tight enough, and it flew out of my hand and over the terrace railing. I wouldn’t be writing this review if it didn’t have a happy ending. Since it was clipped to my belt, it only went a few feet down, and sprung back at me. It did hit the railing on the return trip, but there was no damage. I can only imagine what would have happened had it not been secured in the harness – ten stories is a long way to fall. Thank you Koala. Incidentally, the pigeon flew away, and to my knowledge, never returned. The photo is of the NYC skyline, not the KOALA, in case you wondered.
